The Nanaimo Ocean Paddling Club's recreational membership allows members the use of outrigger canoes for up to six people (OC1, OC2, OC4, OC6), stand-up paddleboards and other club equipment during drop-in sessions and scheduled practices for their group or team. Members must first partake in an orientation session to use any of the Club's small boats (OC1, OC2, SUP).  Junior members must be accompanied with an adult to paddle in either an OC-4 or OC-6, they are not allowed to use the stand-up paddleboards and other club equipment during drop-in sessions and scheduled practices for their group or team.
